At GoRankVantage, we take your privacy and the security of your website search performance data seriously. This Privacy Policy details how we access, process, and protect your information when using our Google Search Console integrations.

1. Information We Access & Google OAuth Scopes

GoRankVantage connects directly to the official Google Search Console API. During connection, we request explicit, read-only permissions via the following OAuth 2.0 scope:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly — Read-only access to view search query performance metrics, URL indexation statuses, and verified site property lists.

Specific data points retrieved include:

  • GSC Performance Metrics: Clicks, impressions, average rankings, position deltas, and click-through rates (CTR).
  • Property Metadata: Verified site domain URLs and country/device dimension filters.
  • Basic Account Information: Primary email address used strictly for user session authentication.

2. Purpose of Data Collection & Transparency

We request access to Google Search Console data solely for the following explicit functionality:

  • To display real-time search performance dashboards, query position distributions, and CTR anomaly alerts.
  • To compute rule-based opportunity scores (0–100) for striking-distance keywords (positions 10 to 20).
  • To check live Google indexation statuses for requested site URLs.
  • To generate contextual internal link suggestions based on topical keyword overlap.

Zero Data Storage & No Database Mirroring: All Google Search Console analytics data is retrieved live on-demand during active user sessions. We do not store, copy, or keep permanent database logs of your search queries, traffic metrics, or site metrics on our servers.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy & Limited Use Compliance

GoRankVantage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • No Data Reselling or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your Google Search Console data to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
  • No AI Model Training: Your Google Search Console metrics and search query logs are never used to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
  • Strict Purpose Limitation: User data is accessed exclusively to provide and improve user-facing features directly requested by the user within the GoRankVantage application interface.

4. Data Retention, Protection & Revocation

Authentication session tokens are stored in secure, encrypted browser session memory. We employ industry-standard encryption standards to protect all active connection tokens.

You retain 100% control over your Google Search Console data. You can disconnect GoRankVantage and immediately revoke OAuth access at any time through your Google Account Permissions Settings.
